What is a Joomla Log File?

After installing Joomla, a folder named logs will be created and stored some where in your Joomla website. It is usually example.com/administrator/logs.

This folder may contain other files with a special .php file which keeps track of all the reports (errors, etc.) in your Joomla website.

In the log folder of your Joomla website, you will find a file named error.php (located inside the log folder of your Joomla website). This is the special .php file we mean. It keeps track of everything that happens in your Joomla website.

The default path to the log folder in your Joomla website is example.com/administrator/logs.
